2010 Annual ReportA patient-centric company

For its 2010 annual report, UCB was impressed both by the editorial structure and expertise offered by Concerto for "GRI" (Sustainable Development). Structured according to the disease, the report is organised in part around the lives of patients. Aspects of "sustainable development" are in turn divided into various themes.

2010 Annual ReportLoud and clear
Designed to make it easy to read, UCB's annual report highlighted key figures supported by short texts. Dynamic graphics and a good layout made the information clear and concise.
2010 Annual ReportCase stories give a human touch
To describe each disease, the editorial used a "case study" approach, outlining the daily life of a patient. The text and pictures showed the story in a more human light far removed from complicated scientific papers. Depicting a real life story marks a departure from the tone of previous reports.
2010 Annual ReportMini website supports print

To optimise access to information given in the annual report, Concerto also designed and built a mini-website entirely dedicated to information contained in the paper version. Revised according to media requirements, texts and illustrations show the company in a particularly dynamic and comprehensive way.

2010 Annual ReportPatient on the web

Adapted to the web, the "patients" case studies allow one to understand an illness in a matter of a few clicks. Structured as a specific "eFile", this section offers users very easy navigation. The list of names in the left margin allows users to access all examples in one click.

2010 Annual ReportMaximising the site's impact

Structured in such a way that gives a global view of all information contained on the mini-site, the home page allows users to understand the entire contents (including the most important key figures) in a single glance. A video of the CEO addressing stakeholders maximises the impact of the website.

2010 Annual ReportProduct pipeline depicts development

Once again, in order to maximise its impact, the mini-site offers a "pipeline" that represents the evolution (according to different clinical phases) of the development of different products. A timeframe allows one to understand the different stages of product development. This information is particularly relevant for all stakeholders.
